André Théorêt et André Gélinas, the two co-founders of OP Rive-Sud and still the owners of the firm, launched le laboratoire OP Rive-Sud in a space in the Centre Laurier, in Saint-Lambert on the South Shore near Montreal. OP Rive-Sud was the first laboratory on Montreals South Shore to be recognized by the Régie de lassurance maladie du Québec. In the 1980s, OP Rive-Sud set up a facility within the Sainte-Justine Hospital and quickly established its credentials in the field of pediatric orthopedic care.
Their commitment to meeting a growing demand with the same level of effectiveness and care led the co-founders to build a team made up of the best experts in their fields, and open different branches and clinics in various hospitals.
Today, OP Rive-Sud includes more than 30 employees in six labs, working closely with various health care specialists. Many of these specialists travel to different clinics throughout the province to offer their services.
Thanks to OP Rive-Sud, various athletes, children, senior citizens and amputees are able to live fuller lives, despite their handicaps.
